Khadija Patel, former editor of the Mail and Guardian, who herself had to grapple first-hand with the dilemma of how to keep good journalism alive in the South African context, joins us to discuss whether it indeed can be sustained, and the potential solutions to the dilemma we currently have on the table. It’s a question that’s been plaguing legacy media around the world for a number of years now.
